Cheers for Lufthansa

We have been very nervous over the past week about our flights via Lufthansa to Frankfurt and on to Munich.  Lufthansa's domestic cabin crews have been conducting short notice, alternating strikes for the past week and it has been badly affecting flights within Germany.  We were pretty sure we would make it to Frankfurt but were not entirely convinced our flight on to Munich would not be affected.  We understood we would be re-booked on another airline if Lufthansa had to cancel our flight to Munich, or we could always take the train.  Our problem was our connecting flight to Split in Croatia for that evening as well.

Weeelllllllll, just this afternoon Ricardo found a notice from Lufthansa that an agreement has been reached that until an arbiter reaches a decision on the matter there will be no further strike action!  So, it appears we are good to go on Tuesday all the way through to Split without disruption from strike action.  There may always be other delays for various reasons, but we are confident that we will get to our final destination at the time we are supposed to arrive!  And, then we can get on with the biking and boating .....................
