Bags are packed -- yes, bags! Tried very hard to pack one bag between the two of us but with all of our biking gear plus other clothes for 5 weeks just didn't seem to work very well. We are still, after all of the trips we have been on, notorious "over-packers!" We each have one duffel bag and are well within the weight restrictions -- so we are patting ourselves on the back. Not so impressive, we know, to those of you who can pack for a lengthy trip in one backpack!!!
So, in about 30 minutes our friend Dianne will come to drive us to the airport (thank you!!!) for our 1 pm flight to Vancouver. From there we are bound for Frankfurt, Munich and - finally - Split in Croatia. We arrive in Split at 8:20 pm on Wednesday, September 12 (9 hour time difference). Needless to say we will be needing some sleep time by then.
Hopeful for great, comfortable flights and a fun experience all round.
